Mountain Ninebark (Physocarpus monogynus)

It is mildly toxic, with laxative and emetic properties. Do not eat any part of
the plant, including the fruit (irregularly shaped "berries" which are green;
next, pink/red; then, brown). Externally, it can be used as a poultice (using
the leaves) on sores or bruises in order to relieve the pain.
