Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum)

Highly Toxic, FATAL--do not touch, eat, or drink.
Should you touch it, wash your hands immediately.
It affects the respiratory system, leaving the brain
without oxygen.

It can be easily confused with edible species, such as osha
(lovage/loveroot): Fernleaf Loveroot (Ligusticum filicium) and
Porter Loveroot (Ligusticum porteri). Osha, however, doesn't
have purple spots on the stems. Unless you are thoroughly
familiar with these plants, don't eat or touch them either; if you
do touch them, wash your hands several times right afterwards.
