Colorado Wild Plants and Fungi
by DaySounds © 2013-14

Russula Decolorans

It should be sautéed, fried, or boiled, with preference to the first. It contains vitamins A, B,
and D. It has high mineral content (as all mushrooms, it absorbs quickly the minerals in the
soil; therefore, if it is found in polluted or near polluted soil, it shouldn't be consumed). It
has antibiotic properties.

No fungus should be eaten unless an expert has personally identified and determined that
what you have in your hands is safe to eat.
