Sandlily/Starlily (Leucocrinum montanum)

The roots are edible. A poultice made with them can help improve sores and
swelling. It has 6 tepals (3 petals, and 3 sepals that look like petals). Its seeds
grow underground. There are several theories regarding how they are brought
up to the surface: one of them states that the new growth of the following year
pushes them up the ground; another says that ants do the task; yet, a different
one proclaims that it is when the ground is stirred by animals and/or humans
that the seeds are pushed upwards.
