Tansy Mustard (Descurainia pinnata)

All parts of the plant are edible, without toxic effects if consumed in moderation. Animals
which have grazed overly on it have become sick. Mature leaves should be boiled first. After
having read this information, the bison above is pondering whether to munch on it or not.

Note:
There are several varieties of tansy mustard, one of them has fern-like leaves that are similar
to the leaves of flixweed (Descurainia sophia); however, that shouldn't present a problem for
survival purposes since both are edible.
Do not eat plants with fern-like leaves unless you know for sure what kind of plants they are,
because you might be eating a toxic plant--like poison hemlock, which is deadly. This advice
holds especially true when the plants are young, without flowers yet.
