Rocky Mountains/Wild Iris (Iris missouriensis)
It is diuretic and emetic (increases urination and induces vomiting),
mostly used externally as an analgesic (to decrease pain) and anti-
inflammatory. Some people use it in swollen, painful tooth cavities;
however, the juices that come out of it are often unwillingly swallowed,
causing the effects first mentioned. It is mildly toxic.
