Colorado Wild Plants and Fungi

Western/Rocky Mountains Springbeauty (Claytonia lanceolata rosea)
The entire plant is edible. Its flowers can be white or pinkish; its anthers are pink. The corms
can be cooked and eaten as potatoes (small ones)--dig carefully about one foot deep to get
them. The picture above shows a ponderosa pine cone, not a corm. Really? Really!
Lighten your heart. Enjoy nature; go outdoors if you can. Open your eyes and see the
love our Father God has for us. Share your burdens with and rest in Him. You might
think that He doesn't love you, but He does.
